Description

Test free, periphery lobulated, with few coarse radial spines, early stage trochospiral, juvenarium or embryonic apparatus distinct, consisting of spherical proloculus followed by 1.5 whorls of planispirally arranged chambers, without canal system but with umbilical plugs on one side, later chambers arranged in radially disposed layers with numerous thin, conical pillars interspersed, ends of the pillars projecting at surface as tubercles; wall of chamber roofs and Roors finely perforate, radial spines arising from juvenarium in its plane of coiling, of solid supplementary shell material, pierced by anastomosing canals and covered with several layers of chambers except at tip.
