Description

Test planispiral and involute as in Haplophragmoides but having numerous broad low chambers with simple interior forming compressed lenticular test, wall finely agglutinated with calcareous cement; aperture elongate slit extending somewhat up face of final chamber. [Daxia superficially resembles Cyclammina but lacks the complex internal structure of that genus.]
