Test free, trochospiral in early coiling, later becoming planispiral and involute; chambers enlarging rapidly around deep umbilicus; wall calcareous, finely perforate, granular in structure; aperture a low slit at base of apertural face. [Nonionellina is like Nonionella in the juvenile stages and like Nonion in the adult.]
